# The Operation

An operation represent the synchronization 1-to-1 from a single database table to a specific HubSpot object.

An operation can act in both ways, depending on your price tier.

The operation main characteristics are:

* The selected HubSpot object
* The selected database table/view
* The transcoding table
* The decision rules
* The association configuration (optional)
